Remembering my Mom this Mother’s Day
Today is the third Mother’s Day without my mom physically here.
At this point I’m so used to my Mom not physically being here, it would feel weird for someone to step back into her role, but the void remains.
I miss getting daily texts from you to say nothing more than Good Morning!
I miss your ever present smile.
I miss your optimism.
And most of all, I miss the love you showered everyone with. You were my biggest supporter and cheerleader. Even when I don’t think you fully understood my journey and choices you never wavered in your support.
While the grief and sadness can be calmed, the void remains.
I love you and will let you say you love me more today.
